A final tour around the town, saying goodbye to the sights and people of iquitos...

Lets see where the next road Takes us.......

Finally after 6months in iquitos, only orginally planning for 2week stay, It´s time to say good bye to the magical city in the middle of the jungle. The surrounding have capturvated many people and working with the charity Proyños and the festival belen I had learnt may skills and ways of developement, through giving love, teaching, clowning, community murals and building dry toilets as well as explore my artist expression. I also had learned alot living in the rainbow community and the sharmans about our connection with the universe and the natural environment.

Sketchbook Journey Jungle discovery

During the trip I hade been doing personal work on reconnecting with nature and documenting discoverys through illustration. Saddly the book I had at the beginning of the adventure was stollen on the beach, my friend kristal said it was an sacrafice to the jungle gods of what I have learn´t through the trip and a new dawn of discovery and exploring our magical universe.
With that I began a new sketch from recycled materials, inspired from the workshops in belen.

Cabo Lopez Communtity Mural

Cabo Lopez ecological toilets where the second production from the proyños crew. Which was created back in May for 6 families in the local area. This month we worked with the local kids and volentaries to create a mural for the community/ ecological toilets.

The colour and energy carried right through the families toilets, at the port of valancia Belen. I wanted to blog their creations beautiful work.

Floating Compost
Round three of the compost toilet production in Iquitos with the Proyños crew. This time it was the descion to create personal toilets for the family and create one central composting place for the waste. This poilet project was to see how this would work for the community. We added engery and inspiration from the clown event early on in august, using colour and love energy to paint the cubes and the floating compost situated in the heart of Belen's port of Valencia, Iquitos, Peru.

I painted this mural on the back of compost, I wanted to give the place the spirit of the amazon and energy of the community.

The Floating Belen Toilet Collection

The toilets ready to be presented to the 6 familys, they had played a big part in the construction helping to build the floating toilet.

Working with the local youths, they created the main entrance mural. All in the compost is colourful place for the families and the communtity.

The Design of the poster for the event was print on the shirt, to raise money for the next event and projects in belen on education and health for the organisation Red por Belen.

This time Estamos en la calle, which means "our street" a day of rock from Peru's best rock and roll bands. I have an amazing video clip of a kid around 5 doing some hip hop, I'll upload it next time. For the event working with proynos, we made a museum of Rubbish. Educating problems with rubbish, how we can reduce are waste, Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

Good News Canal


the idea of the TV was create plays with puppets crafted from rubbish, to only talk about good news. A project I would like to develop, as it would be good way to send massages of peace and communtity, by only creating good news.

Work From Youth at La Restinga





Beautiful art pieces create by the kids that go to the communtity centre called La Restinga. The place helps to create self of stream and teaching art, dance, and threate using thier energy in creatively. Great project and good work.
