Volunteering in Iquitos Proyños Perou - Francia

This month I have been volunteering for a french charity in iquitos called Proyectos Proyños. It´s a social project that works on compost toilets, educationing the local community on recycling, teaching kids in the belen community to love their earth. Here are pictures of some of the activities that we have been getting up to this month.

Above are two bins which will be placed in the local community in belen peru and we´ll be making more bins for the neighbour. I helped to design the rubbish monster theme trying to make it more exciting to recycle and clean the streets. so more are on the way,....

This day was amazing, The charity had organised a day for a kids protest to get the mayor to help clean their streets. It was really uplifting to see the local community of kids get really passionate about thier community and seeing all their knowledge and hard work out loud.

The preparation before the big day of action, The kids thought of the slogan for the posters banners and something that could be done any where around the world.

The local kids from the belen project, volunteers and a local school all came together to help clean the walls. So lots of actions happened that month and more to come. It has been an experience volunteering for the charity lots of enthususam and plan to stay here for a few more months and get more involved.
